Enquire NowThe unique exterior architectural feature at the 285 West Coast Highway Apartment buildings in Scarborough, Perth, is a fantastic example of the versatility of expanded polystyrene (EPS). Created by the experts at Foam Technologies, high density polystyrene foam was cut into using specialist computer-cut CNC equipment to design the incredible curved results.
The semi-circular shapes were manufactured with polystyrene void-formers combined with concrete panels cast by Austral Precast in Maddington. The impressive rounded results were cut at 25mm thickness in predetermined positions on the mould, with sacrificial foam form-liners removed to reveal the smooth shapes once the casting process was completed.
