Foam Technologies was established in Perth to manufacture polystyrene profiles and architectural mouldings for the Building Industry. Since then the company has grown and diversified, becoming an industry leader in the supply and manufacture of customised polystyrene formwork, specialising in the production of 2D and 3D moulds, including displays, lettering, feature moulds and signage.
Foam Technologies offers Polyurethane hard coated finishes, which can be applied to polystyrene foam, timber, steel and other substrates, to provide a tough abrasion resistant shell coating. The shell coating is wear and scuff resistant and able to withstand the rigours of sharp knocks and bangs associated with formwork applications, in the precast concrete industry. Foam Technologies services a number of industries offering custom designed packaging solutions for customers that require impact resistant packaging.

Meet The Team
Simon was appointed MD for Foam Technologies in July 2012 to develop the mouldings business and manage its manufacturing division based in Bibra Lake. Simon has extensive knowledge of Cellular Foam Plastics with over 35 years of experience, both in manufacturing and distribution of (EPS) Polystyrene and (PU) Polyurethane foams for the Building & Construction Industry.
Simon successfully managed a large Polystyrene manufacturer based in Perth as General Manager for 15 years, where he developed new growth opportunities for the business for its moulding division. Simon’s knowledge and experience in moulding and structural insulated foams has allowed the company to follow a new direction and become a market leader in its field. Under Simons direction the company is able to offer a range of services which includes custom designed moulds, fabrication, polyurethane hard coating and on site installation all under one roof.
This ensures customers can have complete confidence in the products end use and its application. Simon also worked overseas as Sales and Marketing Director for a large Polyurethane Foam manufacturer specialising in structural insulated foam panels and lagging materials for the Oil & Gas Industry as well as commercial project
