Void formwork and feature moulds are often supplied with a Polyurethane Hard coat finish which greatly enhances the overall strength and durability of the mould allowing the user to achieve multiple castings. This is particularly helpful for short production runs where the cost of fabricating steel moulds would be prohibitively expensive.
Foam formwork is profile cut using state of the art computer software to replicate the form or custom shape. Once the mould has been cut on our CNC machine it’s put through a secondary process and sprayed with a Polyurethane shell coating system that is specially designed to coat Polystyrene moulds. The coating system protects the mould surface finish creasing its overall strength and impact resistance.
